Long John Silver's is the largest quick-service seafood restaurant chain in the United States, with about one-third of the estimated $1.24 billion market. The chain's more than 1,200 units, located in 36 states, feature a nautical theme and a menu that includes, in addition to Long John Silver's trademark batter-dipped fish, chicken, and seafood, breaded fish, sandwiches, french fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, corn, and desserts. About 60 percent of the U.S. units are owned and operated by the company; the remainder, along with all of the 28 overseas outlets, are franchises. More than 120 of the U.S. units are cobranded sites also featuring an A&W All-American Food outlet.




New Menu Items at Long John Silvers

Long John Silver’s Debuts Coastal Cod Sandwich

Being land-locked doesn’t mean you can’t have the fresh flavors of the ocean for summer. Long John Silver’s is swimming into the season with their new Coastal Cod sandwich, bringing big flavors to your plate. The Coastal Cod sandwich will debut on May 23 followed by a national sampling event on May 26, 2016. The summer promotion will last for nine weeks, ending on July 24.

The Coastal Cod sandwich is 100 percent wild caught Alaskan Cod, breaded in Panko crumbs and lightly fried to golden perfection. The quarter-pound hand-cut fillet is served on a slightly sweet Hawaiian style bun and complemented with tangy tartar sauce and crisp dill pickle slices.

The Coastal Cod sandwich will be available à la carte or in a combo, which includes fries and a 20-ounce drink. The Coastal Cod Meal includes one fillet, two sides, two hushpuppies and Long John Silver’s signature Crumblies. A piece of the Coastal Cod may also be added to any meal.


Long John Silver's readying new line of soups, sandwiches and salads

Long John Silver’s will be introducing a new line of sandwiches, soups and salads in May.

The soups and salads will use seafood as a key ingredient and are currently being tested in a few key markets. After the success of the recently added Ciabatta Jack Fish sandwich, the chain is expanding its sandwich line to include a panko crispy breaded sandwich, a crabcake sandwich and a seafood salad sandwich.

The soups currently on the menu are New England Clam Chowder and Broccoli Cheese Soup.

The two new salads are a Seafood Salad and Classic Chicken and Cranberry Salad.
